Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 multiplayer beta: Dates, access, maps, modes, and key details

Activision has confirmed that the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 multiplayer beta will run from October 2–8, 2025, giving players an early chance to experience the highly anticipated shooter before its full launch on November 14. Early access begins October 2 for players who preorder the game or subscribe to Game Pass Ultimate/PC/Console, while everyone else can join from October 5. The beta features six playable maps—Blackheart, Cortex, Exposure, Imprint, The Forge, and Toshin—along with six game modes, including classics like Team Deathmatch and Domination, plus the debut of a new mode called Overload.

Fans of the Call of Duty franchise won’t have to wait much longer to get their hands on Black Ops 7. Activision has officially confirmed that the multiplayer beta for the highly anticipated shooter kicks off on October 2, 2025, offering players an early chance to experience new mechanics, futuristic maps, and fresh modes ahead of the game’s full launch on November 14.

The beta will run from October 2 through October 8, but access is staggered. Early access begins on October 2 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET for players who preorder the game or subscribe to Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, or Game Pass Console. Everyone else can join in starting October 5, with the beta concluding on October 8.

Players who preorder a physical console copy can obtain their beta code through their retailer. Digital preorders will automatically grant access without the need for a code. Xfinity customers also have an additional way to join early, as the company is offering beta codes through its Rewards hub.

The beta will include six playable maps—Blackheart, Cortex, Exposure, Imprint, The Forge, and Toshin—and six game modes, including classic favorites like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint. A brand-new mode called Overload will also debut, adding a unique twist to the multiplayer experience.

PC players should take note that TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot must be enabled to participate, a move Activision says is aimed at increasing anti-cheat security and protecting the game environment.

Set in 2035, Black Ops 7 introduces enhanced futuristic combat, including wingsuits, grappling hooks, vehicles, and a new “Overlock” system for deeper loadout customization. The game will launch with 18 maps and 30 weapons, bringing back the fan-favorite Omnimovement system with a new wall-jumping feature to keep gameplay fast-paced and dynamic.
