PlayStation Plus subscribers can look forward to a fresh batch of games this August, along with exclusive perks as part of Sony’s 15th anniversary celebration.
Last month’s lineup brought heavy hitters like Diablo IV, The King of Fighters XV, and Jusant. Now, Sony is adding three new titles to the PlayStation Plus library, available from August 5, 2025.
New PlayStation Plus Games for August 2025
1. Lies of P (PS5 & PS4)
Released in 2023, Lies of P is a critically acclaimed soulslike action RPG inspired by The Adventures of Pinocchio. Set in the hauntingly beautiful city of Krat, players control the puppet “P” as he battles monstrous automatons and uncovers a mystery surrounding a petrification disease. With dark gothic visuals and a narrative steeped in deception, Lies of P offers a rich and challenging experience.
2. DayZ (PS4)
DayZ is a multiplayer survival sandbox set in the post-apocalyptic wastelands of Chernarus and Livonia. Players must scavenge for resources, avoid zombies, and survive encounters with other players. Featuring a punishing permadeath system, each playthrough is a test of skill, caution, and strategy.
3. My Hero One’s Justice 2 (PS4)
Based on the hit anime series, this 3D arena fighter lets fans take control of over 40 characters from My Hero Academia, each equipped with unique Quirks. Featuring destructible environments and flashy “Plus Ultra” attacks, the game offers high-octane battles in solo, local, or online multiplayer modes.
PlayStation Plus 15th Anniversary Special Rewards
To commemorate 15 years of PlayStation Plus, Sony is offering free exclusive anniversary-themed avatars. Players can claim character avatars from iconic titles such as Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Diablo IV, God of War Ragnarök, and Twisted Metal at no cost.
These avatars, along with the August game lineup, will be available to all active PlayStation Plus subscribers starting August 5, 2025.
