EA has officially revealed the download size for Battlefield 6 on PC, and it’s significantly smaller than what most players expected for a modern AAA first-person shooter. Ahead of the game’s pre-loads going live on October 3, fans now have a clearer picture of the storage space required.

According to details spotted in the EA App by community source Battlefield Intel, the full installation size is just under 76 GB. The base game alone requires 48.88 GB, while players can choose to download additional content such as the single-player campaign (15 GB), multiplayer mode (5 GB), and their respective HD texture packs, which add about 7.5 GB combined. Altogether, this brings the total installation to 75.97 GB.
Download Size Smaller Than COD
What makes this figure noteworthy is that many recent shooters, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, have demanded well over 100 GB of storage space. Given Battlefield 6’s scope — with expansive maps, advanced destruction mechanics, and high visual fidelity — the relatively modest footprint highlights EA’s focus on optimization.
File sizes for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions are not yet confirmed, though reports suggest they may be even smaller than on PC.
With the official launch scheduled for October 10, excitement continues to build as beta impressions point to Battlefield 6 being a strong contender to rival Call of Duty.
