Gamescom 2025 is officially underway, bringing with it a flood of new announcements, trailers, and playable demos. The event kicked off on August 19 with the Opening Night Live showcase, where fans got a first look at Fallout Season 2, release dates for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, and several other major reveals.
Since then, the schedule has been packed with showcases, including the Future Games Show and Xbox’s dedicated broadcast, each unveiling more surprises for the year ahead. Visitors in Cologne, Germany, are also getting hands-on with highly anticipated demos like Hollow Knight: Silksong, while more presentations and livestreams are lined up throughout the week.

Gamescom itself runs from August 20 to 24, with early access on August 20 for trade visitors, media, and select ticket holders, while doors open to the general public on August 21.

This year’s show promises to be the biggest yet. Xbox alone is bringing 20 titles to the floor, including a PC and handheld demo of Hollow Knight: Silksong on the new ROG Xbox Ally X. Fans can also try third-party titles like Borderlands 4, PowerWash Simulator 2, Cronos: The New Dawn, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Super Meat Boy 3D, and There Are No Ghosts at the Grand. In addition, Xbox has prepared a special theater showcase for The Outer Worlds 2.
