Activision has officially outlined everything players can expect in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone as Season 5 Reloaded which are rolling out this week.
Season 5 Reloaded Release Date
The update goes live on September 4, 2025, following the usual trend of mid-season “Reloaded” drops, which add significant new content along with a larger patch than normal. Since the launch of Season 5 on August 7, players have been waiting for this update to expand multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.
Multiplayer Updates
Black Ops 6 introduces a brand-new 6v6 map, Jackpot, inspired by the High Rollers campaign mission and the fan-favorite Casino map from Black Ops 4. Returning modes include Ransack and Blueprint Gunfight, alongside the new Cranked Demolition mode. Here, teams alternate between attacking and defending bomb sites, while earning perks and managing a live bomb timer that forces constant engagement.
Zombies Mode
For Zombies fans, a Directed Mode is being added to the Reckoning map. This mode caps rounds at 15 and guides players through the Janus Towers questline. Rewards include a Calling Card variant, the Keepsake weapon charm, and bonus XP. Limited-time modes like Team Cranked return, and two fresh Leaderboard events will let players compete for top rankings.
Warzone Additions
Warzone gains the Deadline limited-time mode. Squads can revive endlessly and earn points each round, but the lowest-scoring teams are eliminated at every circle collapse and replaced with AI foes. Since scores reset each collapse, staying active is critical for survival.
Weapons and Rewards
Players can unlock the Gravemark .357 Revolver through the Operation: Hell Ride event, while the PPSh-41 SMG receives a new Helical magazine attachment via the Nuketown Black Party event. Free and premium reward tracks will also provide operator skins styled after Nuketown mannequins, weapon blueprints, and more cosmetic unlocks.
Bonus Login Rewards
Activision is also offering special incentives. Players who download the Season 5 Reloaded update between September 4 and October 1 will receive 2XP tokens for Battle Pass, weapon, and player progression. Additionally, logging in between September 2–16 grants 20 free Battle Pass tier skips.
Even with Black Ops 7 on the horizon, this update ensures current players have more reasons to dive back into Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
