ASUS has officially confirmed the pricing and pre-order details for its upcoming handheld gaming devices, the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X. Both models, which were first showcased during the Xbox Games Showcase in June, are set to release on October 16.
The standard ROG Xbox Ally will retail at $599.99 USD, while the more powerful ROG Xbox Ally X comes in at $999.99 USD. Pre-orders are now live at a range of retailers. The Ally X is available through the ASUS Shop, Best Buy, and Microsoft, whereas the standard Ally is listed on Amazon, Ant Online, ASUS Shop, Best Buy, Microsoft, and Walmart.
ASUS is also running a promotional giveaway for those who secure their unit through the ASUS Shop. Ten lucky customers will win a bundle of accessories designed for the new handhelds. The package includes an ROG Strix Arion external SSD enclosure, an ROG Raikiri controller, ROG Cetra Wireless earbuds (Black), an ROG Bulwark TV dock/USB hub, and a ROG Xbox Ally 2-in-1 premium case. In addition, ROG Elite Rewards members can enter to win a limited-edition ROG OMNI mascot figurine.
The ROG Xbox Ally series is designed to bridge the gap between console and PC gaming, offering portability without sacrificing performance. Both devices support technologies such as AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR), Radeon Super Resolution (RSR), and AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF), which aim to deliver smoother gameplay across demanding AAA titles.
While pricing had been rumored in the weeks leading up to the announcement, this official confirmation provides clarity for gamers weighing their options. With the growing competition in the handheld gaming market, the ROG Xbox Ally lineup could appeal to players seeking high-performance alternatives to existing devices. With less than a month to go, anticipation is building for ASUS and Xbox’s latest collaboration.
