EA Sports FC 26 launches worldwide on 26 September, but players who pre-order the Ultimate Edition or subscribe to EA Play can jump in early. The game introduces smarter goalkeepers, improved dribbling, a new Archetypes system, and a revamped Career Mode built on real-world challenges.
EA Sports FC 26: Early access and release date
EA has confirmed that FC 26 will release globally on Friday, 26 September 2025. Players who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition will get a seven-day early start from 19 September, while EA Play subscribers can try a 10-hour trial beginning 1pm BST, 18 September.
EA Sports FC 26: Who’s on the cover?
This year, Jude Bellingham and Jamal Musiala share the Standard Edition cover, while the Ultimate Edition features Zlatan Ibrahimovic, recreating a famous photo of his younger self surrounded by Ronaldo posters.

Ultimate Team will see new seasonal Live Events, tournament modes, and a redesigned Rivals structure with a fresh “Challengers” tier. Disconnected wins will now count automatically, and repeatable Evolutions will allow more custom upgrades, including goalkeepers.
EA Sports FC 26: Clubs overhaul
Clubs players can now join up to three clubs at once, recruit AI teammates, and take part in rotating events like Clubs Rush. A new goalkeeper role with special PlayStyles and camera angles also debuts.
EA Sports FC 26: Women’s football expansion
FC 26 brings more women’s leagues and competitions, including the Barclays Women’s Super League, UEFA Women’s Champions League, UEFA Women’s Euro, and top clubs like Chelsea Women, Lyon, and Bayern Munich Women.

Over 120 licensed stadiums will feature this year. New additions include BayArena, Estadio Gran Canaria, Estadio José Zorrilla, Wrexham’s Racecourse Ground, and the return of St. Andrew’s. Fan favourites like Napoli’s Stadio Maradona also join the lineup.
