Another popular Microsoft Xbox game is reportedly coming to PlayStation later this year

The move continues Microsoft’s ongoing strategy of bringing former exclusives like Gears of War, Hellblade, and Forza Horizon 5 to rival platforms.

Microsoft Flight Simulator

Microsoft’s next big crossover with PlayStation could be Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. According to a report from Polish gaming site PPE.pl, the highly acclaimed simulator is expected to make its way to PS5 in the coming weeks, with a special edition reportedly planned for a November release.

The news isn’t entirely surprising. In recent times, Xbox has loosened its grip on first-party exclusivity, steadily bringing its major franchises to rival platforms like PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. We’ve already seen titles such as Gears of War, Hellblade, and Forza Horizon 5 make the jump, signaling a clear shift in Microsoft’s strategy to prioritize wider game availability over console exclusivity.

While PPE.pl didn’t reveal an exact release date or details about the “new edition” of Flight Simulator 2024, the move fits the current trend of Xbox classics expanding to new audiences. The report also hints that physical copies of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered could be officially announced soon, as retailers have already begun listing them.

Interestingly, the site claims that Flight Simulator 2024 will get a physical release on PS5, though stock may be limited given Microsoft’s reduced focus on disc-based editions. With Tokyo Game Show approaching, fans may not have to wait long for official confirmation — and if the November launch window is accurate, an announcement could be imminent.
