Epic Games is gearing up for a major live event in Fortnite titled “Super Showdown”, scheduled for August 2 at 2:30 PM ET. The event is expected to mark the end of Chapter 6 Season 3, which has centered around superhero themes featuring characters like Superman and Robin. As with previous live events, millions of players are expected to log in—Epic recommends joining early to ensure a smooth experience.
Immediately following the event, at 3 PM ET, two new Blitz Royale game modes—Six Stack and Pure Chaos—will go live:
- Six Stack: Allows players to form squads of six for team-based gameplay.
- Pure Chaos: Features high-skill opponents and increased siphon, promising an intense challenge.
These modes were heavily rumored in recent weeks and are part of Epic’s broader push to evolve Blitz Royale, which was recently confirmed to become a permanent fixture in Fortnite. Originally launched as a limited-time mode, Blitz Royale was extended due to overwhelming fan demand.
Adding to the excitement, Dragon Ball items are also making a return to Blitz Royale. While Epic hasn’t confirmed specific characters, leakers suggest that new skins could be on the way—possibly from Dragon Ball Daima, the latest anime in the franchise. In Daima, iconic characters like Goku and Vegeta are transformed into children and venture into the Demon Realm, unlocking new transformations that fans hope will appear in-game.
With the Super Showdown event, new game modes, and a Dragon Ball crossover on the horizon, Fortnite fans have plenty to look forward to as the game transitions into its next season this August.
