GTA 6 not coming any sooner or cheaper. Here’s what we know

A new leak suggests that Grand Theft Auto VI could face another release delay, possibly shifting from its reported May 2026 launch to September 2026. The leak also details the pricing structure for the game's various editions in the UK, including a premium version potentially fueling rumors of a $100+ price tag. Early access to GTA Online may vary depending on which edition players buy. While the source’s reliability is questionable, Rockstar's history of delays makes the report plausible.

GTA 6

Grand Theft Auto VI has reportedly been delayed. Previously, it was reported that GTA 6 had been delayed until May 26, 2026. Now, according to known leaker Millie A (via Notebook Check), Rockstar may be discussing another four-month delay internally, potentially pushing the release date to September 2026.

In addition to the delay, the leak outlines pricing for the UK market:

Standard Edition: £69.99

Deluxe Edition: £89.99

Premium Edition: £109.99

The high price tag of the premium edition could explain the ongoing rumors about GTA 6 costing upwards of $100 in some regions.

According to the leak:

Deluxe Edition buyers will get early access to GTA Online.

Premium Edition buyers will receive first access—though it’s unclear what the practical difference between “early” and “first” access is. This could be a marketing tactic to encourage players to choose higher-priced editions.

If accurate, this could mean that those purchasing the standard edition may have to wait longer to access GTA Online, though the exact delay hasn’t been specified.

However, according to Tom’s Guide, the leaker doesn’t have the most reliable track record, so it is advisable to take this news with a grain of salt. That said, Rockstar has also a history of delaying major releases—Red Dead Redemption 2 was delayed twice, and past GTA titles also saw multiple postponements—so another delay wouldn’t be shocking.

We’ll keep you updated as more concrete information becomes available.
